Gustave Trouvé was a smart man who lived in France. He was born in 1839 and worked in Paris. Since he was young, he has loved machines and electricity. He enjoyed making new things and wanted to help people with his ideas.

He made more than 70 inventions. One famous invention was a small electric motor which he used in a boat. The boat could move without wind or oars. This was a new idea at the time.

Trouvé also made a small light for doctors who needed to see during operations. The doctors wore the light on their heads. He also made lights for bicycles and clothes.

He worked alone in a small room. He didn’t become famous because he forgot to get patents. Other people used his ideas and got the credit. But Trouvé didn’t stop making things. He worked hard all his life.

He died in 1902. In recent years, people have started to learn more about him. He is now remembered as an inventor who tried to make life easier for others.
